How to apply Rass-O'-Nil on steel surface

Clean the metal surface.

Step 1: Remove all foreign matter – grit, dirt, cement particles, carbon particles etc by wire brush and then mop with a cotton cloth.

Step 2: Wire brush any mill rust to remove it. Dust off the loose particles.

Step 3: After cleaning the metal surface Rass-O'-Nil G Structural Grade should be applied by any of the following methods to evenly distribute it on the metal surface.

Brush / Cotton cloth / flexible foam mopping:

Dip the brush / cotton cloth / foam in Rass-O'-Nil G Structural Grade. Mop the wet cloth / foam through out the cleaned metal surface to apply one coat of Rass-O'-Nil G.

The number of times the brush / cloth / foam has to be dipped in Rass-O'-Nil G to cover the entire surface depends on the size of the metal section. While the surface is wet and tacky with Rass-O'-Nil G – a wire brushing is necessary to make Rass-O'-Nil G reach the pits / grooves / roots of the metal surface.

Dip the brush / cotton cloth / foam in Rass-O'-Nil G Structural Grade and squeeze the excess Rass-O'-Nil G from the back into the container. Mop a second coat of Rass-O'-Nil G and then let the metal part dry.

When the surface is dry – apply primer or paint to immediately seal the treated surface.

Note: The recommended cloth is 100 % cotton like dusting cloth without any starch. The recommended foam should be 100 % breathable, flexible polyurethane foam.
