Rass-O’-Nil’s eco-friendly and cost saving technology
- The Rass-O'-Nil system is eco-friendly, produces no waste, works at room temperature (saving energy) and reduces carbon emissions.
- Rass-O’-Nil’s ambient temperature treatment mode does away with the energy costs for heating required in the conventional ‘Hot Phosphating’, thus saving energy and costs.
- The Rass-O’-Nil system does not pollute and since acid pickling / acid cleaning is not needed – it is not hazardous for workers and the environment. Acid pickling is being banned because of the health and environmental hazards involved.
- Subsequent ‘quick chromate sealing’ (which is an elevated temperature process) is eliminated. This adds to the savings in chemical and energy costs, manpower, man-hour, and space requirement. The production rate increases.
Chromate is harmful to the environment and carcinogenic. Rass-O’-Nil eliminates the chromating process.
- There is no need for ‘in between’ water rinses. Water rinsing is done away with. This reduces costs and conserves water.
- Ten years toxicity data obtained through in-use study has shown no adverse effect in the physical health of the person handling the Rass-O’-Nil products. The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is available for reference.
- Easy on-site application helps to treat and protect ferrous structures/ parts/ built items, when dismantling is difficult not advisable.
- Paint, powder-coating, and sealants adhere better to Rass-O’-Nil treated metal surfaces, rendered with an ultra-fine deposit of complex- phosphate with chemical and geometrical homogeneity. This gives the coating enhanced life.
- Rass-O’-Nil treated metal surfaces, sealed with a primer and paint coat, if left in the open atmospheric conditions for years, do not allow rust to creep beneath the sealing coat. Creep rust silently kills engineering components made of metal.
- The Rass-O’-Nil treated metal surface can withstand thermal shock up to 400° C, and random bending up to 180°.
- The treated surface has a strong passivated shield, which arrests corrosion. The treated surface must be sealed with paint/ primer.
- Metal treated with Rass-O’-Nil before welding yields stronger and spatter less weldments because of sound and consistent bonding of the grains.
